Birthday Poppies

Hi There,

I have a third project to share this month using Poppy Wishes from the Graciellie Design Digital Shop.  I always need birthday cards so I made this one for my sister.  I really enjoyed coloring this poppy image. I added a pointillism background as well.  My inspiration was the paper I used from BoBunny Faith. Used a corner chopper to round corners and some novo drops in bottle green.

If you'd like to purchase this set or others you can go shopping and use this 10% off code BARBARA10 for your purchases in the Digital Shop. Go take a look! There's also a NEW Pre-Release available for purchase called Count On Me.

Also come back April 1st when we will have our April Release and blog hop with Westcott Brand.  It's gonna be fun!

Happy 1st Day Of Spring!

Hi there,

I don't know about you but I am so glad it's getting warmer outside and everything is in bloom.  So I made a card in honor of the first day of spring!  This clear stamp set is from Sweet n Sassy called Flowers In Bloom and it has a die cut you can purchase separately called Flowers In Bloom Die. This is the first time I have purchased these stamps and dies and I love them! Go check them out!  This set has 4 sentiments to with it.  I just stamped out flowers and colored with Copics and die cut.  DP is from BoBunny Faith and Crate Paper Bloom. Die cut from Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles Large, ink is Hero Arts Ultra Pink.

Happy stamping and coloring!

Do you feel lucky!

Hi there,

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Today I have 2 cards to share for St. Patrick's Day.  I'm not Irish but do enjoy making them.  The first one is an image from Whipper Snapper Designs called Leprechaun and you can find it HERE .  The sentiment can be found HERE. This one was fun to color! The card stock, light green and black is from Papertemptress St. Patty green package found HERE.  Have you tried these papers yet?  I really love them. Great quality. The black has a gold swimmer to it. So beautiful! The paper with the shamrocks was in my stash. Sorry don't know where it comes from.  I used a die cut from My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Basic E. Then a little gold twine and a few gold sequins from Lucy's Cards Champagne color found HERE. Added a few novo drops in Honey Gold.  Scroll down to see Unity card.

My second card is from Unity Stamp Company called Lucky ones found HERE.  I just love this sweet little image and it comes with this sentiment, another 4 leaf clover and the word lucky! This makes a quick card! The DP is from my stash so paper co. is unknown. Colored with Copics. The card stocks are from Papertemptress that same St. Patty's Green Package. The gold behind the image is from my stash. Just added some gold cord and a few novo drop in Honey Gold and Bottle Green.

Graciellie Design March 1st Blog Hop/Giveaway The Perfect Blend

Hi there,

Welcome to the March 1st Blog Hop/Giveaway with the Graciellie 2017 Creative team. Today the team is featuring 4 new digital sets.  Today I am featuring Cup Of Tea. I decided to gold foil around the tea cup and saucer first. I traced around the rim of cup and saucer with the deco foil Adhesive pen .  Let it dry, (it will be sticky) then put the rose gold foil over cup shiny side up and ran it through my big shot. Peeled it off and it worked! You don't need a laminating machine for this technique.  I colored with Copics and then fussy cut and added to card.  There are 5 great sentiment as well! DP is from Authentique Beloved, Sentiment die cut is Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags die cut leaves from PTI Garden Gild. Give this technique a try! It's so easy and fun!

So here's the scoop for the Blog hop and giveaway: Graciellie Design will give a $15 gift certificate to one lucky commenter.  So please hop and leave comments on ALL the creative team blogs and the Graciellie Blog for more chances to win!! Floral Birthday

Hi there,

I don't know about you but I am always in need of Birthday cards for women!  I really needed to make some so this one fits the bill!

I decided to dig out my Inktense watercolor pencils.  I haven't used them in a while.  I had seen a video on the GinaK Youtube channel using flowers and Strathmore Bristol smooth surface paper. So I headed on down to Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon and purchased a pad.

I stamped the image with Hero Arts shadow ink in Charcol. A sort of no line coloring but with the watercolors you can still see them but a little lighter. The ink is waterproof so it worked well. Then I splattered with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors in yellow gold and White gold. Then let dry and added sentiment.  The Stamp set is from Concord & 9th You're My Person set. I've had it a while.

I will say the paper performed very well.  Didn't warp but I was careful not to oversaturate the paper.  Die cut is from Mama Elephant All Prettied Up set. I also added a little sparkle with Stickles and Nuvo Drops and a little twine and done.

I think its always fun to dig out some supplies you haven't used in a while or re-visit a technique to get the creative juices flowing!

Happy stamping and coloring!

Beautiful Fuschias

Hi there,

Today I'm featuring another digital stamp set from Graciellie Design called Beautiful Fuchsias. I have to admit I've never colored this flower before so I just googled some photos and they are the most beautiful colors!  They are a very exotic looking flower I must say.  I don't believe I've ever seen them in person.  I then added some doodling some dots and white highlights to bring these flowers to life.  The sentiment is from another Digital stamp set called Thinking Of You. To finish I just doodled around sentiment, air brushed around flowers and I've been playing around with a laminator and decofoil with a few leaves.  I used Emerald Watercolor foil found HERE. This stuff is fun! I also added some sherbet shimmer Nuvo Drops. Gracie the owner of Graciellie Design has a blog and YouTube channel that will give you lots of tips and tricks to foiling!  She does amazing design with digital stamps and deco foil!

If you would like to purchase these amazing digital stamp sets please use this 10% off code BARBARA10 for my readers.  Use as often as you like!  Go check them out!

Happy stamping and coloring!
